What is a Proper Cocktail Bar?
To create a proper cocktail bar, careful consideration is given to each component of the drinking
experience. Expect premium spirits, quality ice, fresh juices, interesting mixers, and stylish glassware. In addition to classic, craft, and seasonal cocktails, Hummingbird Lounge will offer varietal wines, local craft beer, and spirit free drinks. Above all, expect a welcoming atmosphere and a festive celebration of cocktail culture. 
 

Does Hummingbird Lounge serve food?
Yes, indeed. The menu features a selection of locally sourced fruits, vegetables, and proteins, served in shareable size portions. Menus will be labeled to acknowledge dietary preferences and common allergens.

 

Does Hummingbird Lounge offer To Go food and drinks?
Yes, indeed! The full menu will be offered To Go, including a selection of cocktails, craft beer, and wine.

Why did you choose the name Hummingbird Lounge?
We were inspired by the Hummingbirds that frequent Harbor Country, and appreciate these traits:
1. Hummingbirds are playful, colorful, loyal, and social.
2. They migrate, and repeatedly visit their favorite spots to find sweet nectar.
3. They have an amazing metabolism. If they don’t drink all day – they die
 

Does Hummingbird Lounge have private event space for groups?
Yes! Hummingbird Lounge has several areas for family gatherings and social events. The Loft is the
perfect size for parties of 12 – 20, and it has a private restroom. The Knotty Pine can accommodate
groups of 8 - 10, and it has a private restroom. Several tables and large booths can accommodate
parties of 2 – 12 guests in a semi-private setting. Large groups will also fit comfortably in the garden.
 

Where is Hummingbird Lounge located?
Hummingbird Lounge is located at 9 S Barton St, New Buffalo, MI 49117, near the corner of W Buffalo
Street (Red Arrow Hwy) and S Whittaker Street.
 

Does Hummingbird Lounge have parking?
Yes, Hummingbird Lounge shares a large parking lot with the Fifth Third Bank. Parking is also available on Barton Street.

Does Hummingbird Lounge offer outdoor seating?
Yes, we will offer outdoor seating on the deck and in the garden, weather permitting.
 

Does Hummingbird Lounge offer a children’s menu?

Yes. Chicken Nuggets and Grilled Cheese are always available.
Hummingbird Lounge is family friendly until 8pm and will transition to “adults only” by 9pm nightly.
